Respecting the white space

A thing about any form of art is restraint. Chefs are supposed to restrain themselves from serving a plethora of food on a plate so as to emphasize the flavors and aesthetics of the dish. A good musician has the ability to extrapolate the beauty and yet maintain the simplicity of a rudimentary tune. An experienced actor knows the importance of pauses and moments of idleness to perfectly communicate with his audience. An artist practicing fine arts knows how to respect the canvas to leave few spaces untouched to accentuate the features of his artwork. In other words ‘less is more’.
